Professional Experience

After completing his articles at Deloitte, he qualified as a CA in 2001. Jaco then relocated to George and immediately went into practice, joining Compendium as a junior partner. In 2004 he successfully completed his Post-graduate diploma in Taxation (H Dip Tax). He currently serves as Technical, Training and Risk partner and provides the first line of defence on complex audit and accounting matters while managing a wide spectrum of clients. The IT and HR portfolios also resort under his care. He was a member on the SA National Professional Standards Committee from 2008 to 2013 and assumed the same position when their office joined the Grant Thornton network from 2013 to 2018. The office re-joined PKF in 2019.
